Exterior Roof Finish: The exterior of the roof will be covered with a commercial grade nylon reinforced rubber roofing material secured in place with commercial grade contact glue. A galvanized metal roof edging will be placed around the outside edges. The roof will be sloped from the center to the sides to provide proper drainage.

Exterior Wall Construction: The exterior walls of the shelter will be of natural stone aggregate fiberglass panel with a general color of choice.

 

Door Assembly: The size of the door will be 3' x 7' minimum clearance. The door will be a commercial grade insulated steel door manufactured from a minimum of 24-gauge steel. The door and frame will be a commercial grade heavy-duty steel doorframe manufactured from a minimum of 16-gauge steel. The door and frame will be painted with high quality exterior grade paint, suitable for use on metal, in a color to match the buildings exterior color. The door hinges will be heavy-duty, ball bearing hinges with non-removable pins capable of supporting the door over an extended time of frequent use. The door will be equipped with a heavy-duty commercial grade deadbolt lock. Additionally, a MIL-SPEC hardened steel hasp for padlock will be provided. The door and frame assembly will be equipped with all necessary weather-stripping and seals necessary to make an airtight assembly. The door will be equipped with miscellaneous hardware, including a heavy-duty commercial grade wind check, passage set, chromed interior pull handle and all items necessary to make a complete assembly.

Electrical: All electrical wiring will be in conduit and raceways. All conduit, raceways, fittings, and hardware will be galvanized steel or rustproof metal. Conduit will have reamed ends secured to boxes or raceways with compression type connectors. Bends will be made so that conduit will not be injured or the internal diameter of the conduit reduced. Conduit kinked, crushed, or damaged will be rejected. All conduit will be anchored in place at least every four feet. All conduit will be exposed and attached to the inside surface of the shelter. All wire will be copper. All wire runs will be continuous.

Air-Conditioning: The shelter will be equipped with a high energy efficient air-conditioner with a warranty of one (1) year on parts and five (5) year warranty on the compressor and sealed system.  It will be sized to provide a 2 to 1 safety factor while maintaining an interior temperature of +75 degrees F with an exterior ambient temperature of +100 F, no equipment heat load being considered.

Heating: The shelter will be equipped with a heating system sized to provide a 2 to 1 safety factor and designed to provide an interior temperature of +70 degrees F with an exterior temperature of -30 degrees F accompanied by a 30 mph wind, no equipment heat output being considered.

Ventilation System: The shelter will be equipped with an automatic motorized ventilation system, designed to exchange the interior air of the shelter a minimum of once every 5 minutes and to prevent the loss of interior air due to winds of 50 mph. The intake portion of the ventilation system will be filtered and protected with an outside weather hood secured to the exterior surface of the shelter and equipped with a stainless steel wire screen to prevent the intrusion of insects, rain, dust, etc. The exhaust portion will be protected by an outside weather hood secured to the exterior surface of the shelter and equipped with a stainless steel wire screen to prevent the intrusion of insects. NOTE: The air-conditioner, heater, and ventilation system will be so installed as to prevent simultaneous operation.

Main Load Center and Distribution Panel: The shelter will be equipped with a 20-position distribution panel with copper ground bar and a 200 amp 120/240 VAC main breaker.

Lights: The shelter will be equipped with sufficient lighting to provide a minimum of 150 fe of illumination at floor level. One outside weatherproof exterior light, vandal resistant, mounted near the entrance door will also be provided. A battery powered emergency light will be located on the interior wall just inside the entrance door.

Receptacles: The shelter will be equipped with 20 amp 110V duplex receptacles, one every 4 running feet of horizontal wall area, located 4' above the finished floor surface.

Anchor Bolts and Hold Down Clamps: The necessary number of anchor bolts and hold down clamps will be supplied and included in the cost of the shelter.

Drawings: The manufacturer will furnish 3 sets of preliminary drawings of the shelter and foundation of Customer approval.  If changes are required, one set will be returned to Thermo Bond for review and action.  If the Customer requires no revisions, one set will be returned to Thermo Bond marked "Approved for Construction".   Thermo Bond will furnish 1 set of final "As Built" drawings within 10 days after shelter delivery.

Warranty: Thermo Bond will state in the bid the conditions of its warranty.

Freight: Quoted sales price will include freight to site, contingent upon site being readily accessible to semi-truck and trailer.
